The State Senate and Assembly passed on Tuesday a state budget extender that will keep state government open through April 14. This extender contains funds to pay CSEA Executive Branch members on the Institution payroll.
This action was necessary due to ongoing state budget negotiations and to ensure that government operations—and payroll—continue without interruption.
Due to the timing, the Office of the State Comptroller has informed CSEA that while payments are being processed as quickly as possible, early direct deposits and paper checks will most likely be delayed by one day.
CSEA continues to fight to ensure paychecks are delivered in a timely manner and that a budget reflecting our priorities is passed.
