HAUPPAUGE — CSEA members joined other union workers and supporters at the Long Island Federation of Labor’s annual Workers’ Memorial Day service.

The event allows labor supporters an opportunity to honor Long Island workers who lost their lives while performing their job duties.

The program included a memorial service and candle-lighting ceremony representing workers lost last year, a bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace, and memorial flower bed planting.

CSEA will continue to fight for members and their right to work in a safe environment until these ceremonies are no longer necessary.
