Welcome to the Capital Region
CSEA’s Capital Region covers 14 counties north to the Canadian Border, east to Vermont, south into the Catskills and west to the Central Region. Supporting workers in more than 90 locals and 230 units in state government, local government, school districts, library systems, public authorities and the private sector. The region has approximately 33,000 members.
The NYS Department of Civil Service will be hosting information tables in the Empire State Plaza concourse on three dates in December. The Employee Benefit Division (EBD) of DCS will be available to answer questions about the Option Transfer Period, which is from Friday, November 29th through Tuesday, December 31st. This is an excellent opportunity for CSEA members to get your questions and concerns addressed if you are considering changing your current health plan option.
