Congratulations to members of the Yonkers School District Unit, who recently ratified a seven-year contract after challenging negotiations. The agreement runs retroactive to 2014 and includes several wage increases, a new salary step, an increase in longevity payments and an upgrade for CSEA-represented clerks. Yonkers School District Unit President Lionel Turner praised his members for their solidarity during the negotiations process, which he said played an integral role in reaching a good contract.
