Yates County Employees Unit ratify new contract deal through 2020

PENN YAN — On Feb. 15, Yates County Employees Unit members ratified a new collective bargaining agreement that will yield a cost-of-living increase over four years. All bargaining unit members will also receive a ratification bonus, plus an increase in their clothing allowance. Members also agreed to voluntarily opt into a higher health insurance deductible plan with a bonus incentive. Those who opt out for the first year will automatically join the new health insurance plan Jan. 1, 2020. The new deal expires Dec. 31, 2020.
