On Labor Day, we urge all of you to join a Labor Day event in your region to show solidarity with our union and play an active role in our communities.

This year, we want you to take further this commitment with our union.

During the past year, we have been bringing our Never Quit campaign to all of you to encourage you to get involved in building a better, stronger union. While the threat of a recent Supreme Court case spurred us to redouble our efforts here, we have been working for years to strengthen our union in the face of ongoing challenges.

Labor Day celebrates the great accomplishments — and sacrifices — of working people throughout our history. Because of their fights for justice and respect, most American workers have improvements in their workplace.
But there are politicians and corporate interests who believe that we have too much and want to take away many of the rights and benefits that working people have fought to achieve.

They may have deeper pockets, but we have the people.

We need to stand up and show our opponents that we will Never Quit making ourselves stronger, and that we will Never Quit fighting for what’s right.

Please join us for a Labor Day event near you — we need all of you in this fight.
In addition to joining in a Labor Day event, there’s another way we can show that we will Never Quit: vote.
No matter what you do this fall, get out and vote. State and local primary elections will be held Sept. 13; the general election is Nov. 8.

Every election is important, but this year’s state and federal elections will literally determine the direction in which our nation moves, including the future of collective bargaining.
