POMONA — Some of the best summer memories don’t have to come with a hefty price tag.
Those are the experiences the New York Boulders create for Hudson Valley families. As a professional independent baseball team playing at the Town of Ramapo’s Clover Stadium, the Boulders offer fun for the whole family at a price that won’t break the bank.
With novelty baseball teams such as the Savannah Bananas commanding a hefty price tag, the Boulders are a less costly option that combines baseball with entertainment. Attendees can enjoy on-field games and contests, food and beverage promotions, and fireworks events. Children can visit a playground and even ride a train inside the stadium.
A vital piece of the experience comes courtesy of CSEA Town of Ramapo Unit members, where parks maintenance workers perform stadium upkeep and offer support. Other unit members who serve as fire inspectors also provide support during fireworks events.
The Town of Ramapo Parks and Recreation Department office is on-site at the stadium, with a hands-on approach that ensures visitors attending Boulders games and other stadium events are met with clean, well-maintained facilities.

“People like coming to the stadium not just because of the baseball, but because of the overall experience,” said Rockland County Local President Chris Vogel, who is part of the town’s parks department maintenance team. “Families priced out of other activities know that is not the case here. You don’t need to drive hours away to make summer special for your kids.”
