New Yorkers will vote in numerous local elections, including races for mayors, county legislators and municipal council members.
These elections are very important for our union members. These officials make the decisions about the services CSEA members provide, the resources we have to do our jobs, and the policies that shape the communities where we live and work.
“When we vote, we help choose the leaders who make the decisions that affect our everyday lives,” said CSEA Statewide Political Action Committee Chair Cindy Stiles. “Your vote is your voice. When CEA members show up at the polls, we send a clear message about the issues that matter to us.”
At the 115th Annual Delegates Meeting’s closing session, attendees got important updates on our union’s political action efforts.
October 25 is the deadline to register to vote.
