Job skills training

 

CSEA represented employees working in local government or in the private sector are able to choose trainings that meet job related, professional development or personal development needs. These are offered on a first come, first served basis. Explore your options below!

Skills for Success courses

The NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training’s Skills for Success program features more than 80 in-person and online courses and webinars – all available at no cost to CSEA-represented employees. Each course is thoughtfully tailored to meet your needs and schedule. This is a valuable opportunity to enhance your skills, advance your career, meet evolving job demands, and support your professional growth and development.

If you work for local government or a school district or are in the private sector, you are eligible to take this training and have it paid for by the WORK Institute, provided there is room as the registration period nears conclusion.

Skillsoft/Percipio e-learning

Local government, school district and private sector members can access thousands of online courses, ebooks, and videos in administrative support, communication, finance and accounting, grammar and writing, leadership and management, math skills, personal development, personal computer, and professional information technology, videos and digital books through Skillsoft. Work and life training

The WORK Institute can provide Interactive, motivational workshops on a wide variety of topics, including managing stress, balancing work and family life, household budgeting, organizational change, team building, leadership skills, workplace effectiveness, parenting issues, and caring for elders. If you’re interested in having trainings like these delivered by Balancing Life’s Issues (BLI) to your local or unit, talk to your local or unit officers about reaching out to us to set up a training.
