2020 CSEA Statewide Scholarship Recipients

CSEA is proud to announce the recipients of the 2020 Irving Flaumenbaum, Pearl Insurance and MetLife Insurance Company Scholarships. Our union presents the scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors who are eligible dependents of CSEA members. Congratulations to all of the recipients.

Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarships (three in each region):

Long Island Region:
Lily Candelaria, whose parent, Wendy Candelaria, is a life skills academy aide at Hampton Bays High School.

Lucy Lebowitz, whose parent, Henry Metzger, is a supervisor at the Town of Hempstead.

Emily Fuchs, whose parent, Mei Wan Fuchs, is a teacher aide at Levittown Public School District.

Metropolitan Region:
Sarina Oliveira, whose parent, John Hillman, is a Senior Claims Examiner III at the New York State Liquidation Bureau.

Amour Boyce, whose parent, Dorette George Boyce, is a direct service aide at Bernard Fineson DDSO.

Brittany Mota, whose parent, Josefina Marte, is a mental health therapy aide at Bronx Psychiatric Center.

Southern Region:
Marcello Cappello, whose parent, Leonarda N. Cappello, is a teacher assistant at White Plains City School District.

Jessica Lopresti, whose parent, Stephanie Lopresti, is a bus attendant at Rockland County BOCES.

Isabella Palamaro, whose parent, Franco Palamaro, is a maintenance helper at the Town of Ramapo.

MacKensie Campbell, whose parent, James Campbell, is support staff at the Shenendehowa School District.

Charles Gagliardo, whose parent, Megan Gagliardo, is an office assistant 2 at Hale Creek Correctional Facility.

Olivia Eppich, whose parent, Joseph Eppich, is a plant utilities engineer at SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech.

Central Region:
Jennifer Klix, whose parent, Jeannie Klix, is a data entry operator at Onondaga County.

Sharla Dart, whose parent, Barbara Dart, is a program aide at Cayuga/Onondaga BOCES.

Gabriella O’Hara, whose parent, Effe O’Hara, is secretary to the judge at the Unified Court System.

Western Region:
Alyssa Wright, whose parent, Tammy Wright, is a caseworker at Wyoming County Department of Social Services.

Emily Weaver, whose parent, Glenda K. Weaver, is a real property tax services aide at Livingston County.

Alyssa Spring, whose parent, Michele Spring, is an accountant at the Cattaraugus County Health Department.

Makaila Maier, whose parent, Regina A. Maier, is a secretary I at the Schodack Central School District.
