A message from Central Region President Ken Greenleaf

2025 Spring Message from Central Region President Kenny Greenleaf:

Dear Central Region Union Family,
As we embrace the season of spring—a time of growth and renewal—I’m reminded of the strength, resilience, and solidarity that define our union. Spring is about planting the seeds for the future, and in Central Region 5, we are doing just that.

Our union is growing, and every challenge we face only makes us stronger. We’re up against powerful forces: billionaires who want to cut our budgets, anti-union extremists who want to strip away our right to organize, and politicians who threaten essential programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. But as we continue to push forward, we are becoming something even more powerful—a united force that refuses to be ignored.

Here’s how we can grow stronger this spring:

Get organized: Attend your next local or unit meeting and bring a coworker along.

Stay in the loop: Read the Work Force, This Week in Albany, and email blasts. Have conversations and ask union repswhat’s happening in your union.

Join PEOPLE: Your support helps us fightback against those trying to weaken thelabor movement.

Together, we’re not just fighting to survive—we’re fighting to thrive. The bigger and stronger we are, the more power we’ll have to demand better wages, better benefits, and a better future for our families.

As always, I will continue to work diligently to make our region and our union bigger, better, and bolder, by making sure there is a place for all members.

In Solidarity,

Kenny Greenleaf,
Central Region President
