Tyree Learning Center rally for first contract
Due to obstinate management, CSEA’s newly organized SCO Family Services-Tyree Learning Center Local is still without a contract after one year of trying to negotiate with management, who is practicing avoidance techniques to prevent sitting down with the contract negotiations team.
To show administration that CSEA will not be dismissed, Tyree Learning Center workers and other CSEA members decided to hold a rally in front of the building where SCO family of Services was supposed to be holding a fundraiser, but when SCO found out about the rally they pretended to cancel the fundraiser to avoid being exposed for the poor administrators that they are.
Never deterred, CSEA members still held the rally to raise public awareness. Attendees of the fundraise hid in their car while police were called to break up the rally.
That is what happens when union members rally to make their voices heard; we send administration ad their supporters running scared.

Region One is now accepting applications for the 2025 CSEA Long Island Region One Scholarship Fund.
The region will be awarding three $2,000 college scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
