Safe Work Zones
Working on or near traveled roads is one of the most dangerous environments workers face. In addition to the number of hazards of the work itself, workers are forced to grapple with reckless and unsafe drivers. Work zone accidents endanger hundreds of New Yorkers each year, and the problem is only getting worse. It is time for New York to protect our workers, improve safety in highway work zones, and curb unsafe driving behavior.
Contact your legislator and ask them to increase protections for highway workers!

Cleaning after COVID-19 Webinars
CSEA is offering six new sessions of our webinar Cleaning After COVID-19. During this unprecedented pandemic, CSEA wants to ensure your right to a safe and healthy workplace. This 1 hour webinar for those who have to clean areas that may be affected by the coronavirus, will address the hazards and risks of cleaning an area with COVID-19, the responsibilities of your employer to protect you, best practices and worker protections and your rights if you get sick.
This webinar is also available upon request. Local and Unit Presidents can contact their OSH Specialist or the OSH Training Coordinator to schedule a time.
As space is limited, please do not register if you cannot attend the session. We also ask that if you will be viewing as a group, that the space is large enough to practice proper social distancing (at least 6 feet between persons).
